Tell about how I was bad at streaming.
I thought that if you just had good content people would come into your stream. But you NEED To find a way to get people in.

If you haven’t already watch video How to get 3 viewer average in this series!
You need good content for people to stay, but people won’t find your stream if you ONLY stream and more awesome content.
Make adjustments to make your stream better even if you think it’s good.

Don’t try to be friends with EVERY Streamer, but only the ones that fit with you. Don’t make yourself miserable watching things you hate. Quality Networking over Quantity networking.
You NEED To have a niche! To keep viewers around.
Take a look at your Stream quality settings. If you use low bitrate settings don’t stream 1080P but 720P instead. If you stream high bitrate look into the new Enhanced Broadcasting options in OBS.

Research Twitch culture and spend time on the platform.
Research why other streamers do well.
Don’t use follower only mode, you will lose viewers.
Find things that works and do it again.
Lurkers are fine, let them be. Don’t try to get them out of lurk mode. If they want to they might but don’t force it.
Buying better equipment does not mean you get more viewers, unless your equipment was HORRIBLE.
Make sure you are never JUST depended on streaming as an income. As streaming is super unreliable and it will mentally wear you down and make your streams less fun!
